Originally the Lyda, this theatre opened as the Grand in 1930. The Grand is located in Grand Island, Nebraska with a population of approximately 43,000 people. Through community effort, this theater's retoration process is well on its way to completion.

The facade was built entirely of colored glass and was adorned with the largest neon sign in Grand Island.  From a restoration point of view, they are further along and able to use the beautiful Art Deco auditorium.  However, they still have restoration to do on the exterior and some interior detail as well.
