The Friends of the DuPage Theatre entered a float in the 2005 Lilac Day Parade. The float was based on the movie "The Wizard of Oz."This float featured the theatre's facade as the "Emerald City", a scrolling lights marque, a rainbow ending in a field of poppies, and a "yellow brick road" floor. On the float rode "Dorothy" singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, the Scarecrow, Tinman and Cowardly Lion. Several "Munchkins" marched behind the float carrying giant lollypops that named the sponsors of the float.
