Some information taken from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Statue Park, officially named "A Sentence About Tyranny" Park, is located in Budapest Hungary at Memento Park. It is an open-air museum providing information about Hugary's era of dictatorship. These statues were located all over Budapest and Hungary. After the fall of communism, these statues were knocked down and dumped in a pile outside of town. At the same time, this park is about democracy because now it can be talked about. After all, only democracy is able to give the opportunity to let us think freely about dictatorship, communism, and all forms of socializm. And only in a democracy can the people come along and capitalize on this opportunity to educate us about tyranny by re-erecting these statues and providing descriptions of what they represented. NOT glorifying what they represent but as awarning of what could happen again. Memento Park Budapest | Communist statues and ghosts of communist dictatorship
